Building metadata
applications with Content Finder
If you would like to include a custom search interface, use the method
getUniqueValues to display
lists of a metadata attribute field's unique values.
If you would like to list the building blocks of ArcWeb layers and data
sources (services), use the method getSubContent.
If you would like to list a layer or data file's dependent layers and
data sources (services), use the method getDependentContent.
KeyValue descriptions
for ContentFinderRecord.contentProperties
Data file properties include
- dataType—The
type of data where "1" = point, "2" = line, and "3"
= polygon.
- featureCount—The
number of records in the data file.
- numBytes—The
size in bytes of the data file.
Layer properties include
- dataproductname—The
name of the data product that contains the layer.
- dataType—The
type of data where "1" = point, "2" = line, "3"
= polygon, and "4" = image.
- permissions—"public"
permissions are available to everyone who subscribes to ArcWeb Services.
"Shared" permissions are made available to you by somebody in
your group. "notShared" are your layers that you have not shared
to your group.
DataSource properties include
- browseGraphic—The
URL to a graphic that can be used to represent the data source.
- canCopy—Whether
or not you can copy the data source to a new data source.
- maxCost—The
maximum number of credits the data source can incur from one request.
- permissions—"public"
are available
to everyone who subscribes to ArcWeb Services. "Shared" are
made available to you by somebody in your group. "notShared"
are your layers that you have not shared to your group.
- remote—Whether
or not the data source redirects to a remote server outside the ArcWeb
domain. This only applies to Map Image data sources.
