Navigating the ArcWeb site
The ArcWeb site contains information, tools, and examples to
help you learn about the product, work with data and services, and get
support.

The Web site contains the following primary sections:
- Home—Highlights
news and current information about ArcWeb Services and, when logged in, contains a snapshot of your
account activity and usage.
- Learn—Provides information to help you get started using ArcWeb Services.
- Content—Provides
detailed information about the services and data
- Capabilities—Describes
major functions and types of ArcWeb Services
- Publishers—Lists
the providers of the ArcWeb content
- Building Custom Content—Provides
animated tutorials that show you how to add your own
content to ArcWeb
- Use—Provides
ready-to-use applications to get you started using ArcWeb.
- Demos—Highlights
what's possible with ArcWeb Services and includes downloadable code
- Solutions—Contains stand-alone
applications for specific needs
- Develop—Highlights resources available to help you create applications using
ArcWeb Services. It also includes ArcWeb Labs, which gives you early access
to the latest technologies and products.
- Build—Displays content hosted by ArcWeb, content you have uploaded, and
content shared by members of your group, which can be browsed by keywords or category
filters. The Build tab also lets you upload,
customize, and publish custom data and services to use with ArcWeb Services.
- Community—Contains up-to-date news about ArcWeb Services including events, solution enhancements, and new features; user tips and tricks; and FAQs. Log in to access the Community tab.
- Account—Lets
users and group administrators manage their account settings, view account
activity, run usage reports, and purchase and share credits.
- Support—Provides
access to a searchable knowledge
base, complete online help, FAQs, downloads, sample code, technical
support contact information, and other helpful resources.
You can easily access each of these areas via tabs and links on the navigation bar along the top of each page.
The navigation bar contains several helpful elements:
- ESRI logo—Click to open the ESRI ArcWeb Services marketing pages.
- ArcWeb Services site title—Click
to return to the home page.
- Search—Quickly find information, samples, tools, etc. Enter text in the Search box, optionally define an area to
search, and click Go to see information related to your search criteria.
- Links—In the upper-right corner, click links to
access to the support area and account pages or to log in and out.
These links are available on most ArcWeb pages.
- Tabs—Click a tab
to display the main page for that section. Rest the pointer on a tab to
display a menu with more focused options; click to access these pages. Tabs
appear along the top of each page, except in the Builder.
You can also
use ToolTips, which display helpful hints and descriptions about on-screen
elements, such as buttons, icons, and text fields. Rest the pointer over
an on-screen element to display a ToolTip.
