Editing service information
You can edit any service that you have created. You can also edit some
map services hosted by ArcWeb. (When you edit ArcWeb map services, the
system makes a copy of the service for you to customize.)
If you have permissions to edit a service, an Edit icon appears next
to the service in the Content Library. If you do not have permissions,
contact the owner listed on the Summary page to make changes.
To edit a service
- From the Build tab menu, click Browse & Edit
Content.
- In the Content Library filter boxes, select All
Libraries > Services, then click View Results.
- Click the Edit icon for the service you want to
edit.
A page appears that lists the features you can change. Different types
of services have different properties to edit.
- For a map service, you can add, rearrange,
and delete layers as well as change the scale, styles, and map boundary
(the extent).
- For a spatial query service, you can edit
the fields returned, search filter (WHERE clause), geographic constraint,
default number of records returned, and distance units.
- Click the appropriate Edit button and make changes.
- To change metadata, click the Info tab and click
Edit Info. Save your changes when done.
