Deleting content

You can delete any content that you have added to Content Library, including data files, layers, services, and styles. You cannot delete content you do not own, such as services provided by ArcWeb.

To delete content

  1. In Content Library, click the Delete icon in the row for the content you want to remove. A dialog box displays a list of other content (if any) that will be affected by the deletion. For some types of content, you will need to delete other dependent services and layers.
  2. Review the list of affected content and, if appropriate, click Delete Dependent Content. A dialog box prompts you to confirm your decision.
  3. To proceed, click Confirm.

HINT: If you want to delete several content entries that are based on the same data, delete the data file. You will be prompted to delete all the dependent layers and services during the process.
